On Tuesday 26^th March, we had the pleasure of taking 100 Year 7 students to the beautiful New Wimbledon Theatre to see the author Tola Okogwu. She spoke about what inspired her to write her novel 'Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun', asking the audience to consider what makes a real life hero. She additionally provided some excellent writing tips for our budding writers! Our students were an asset to the school, asking a range of interesting questions, and some were even given the chance to join her on stage and channel their inner superheroes.  All pupils were given a free copy of the book to take home, which many enthusiastically started to read on the bus back!
